I went out to Sarnath today, a village that has been pretty fulling incorporated into Varanasi.
Sarnath is where the Buddha gave his first sermon about the middle way. It is an important place on the Buddhist Pilgrimage tour of India but it was not about seeking enlightenment. Or I should say, it was not about finding enlightenment. In truth, I know I just have a lot of work to do to keep trying to live my life the right way. I found some great statues and temples and at the same time, I found myself thinking about getting back home to my snowy garden and my sweet daughter.
Still, pictures are nice. The tower thing is called stupa. It is huge and old.
